If you have a current generation AirPort base station or Time Capsule with firmware 7.7.7, or an older generation with firmware 7.6.7, you may have noticed that you cannot access the device from AirPort Utility on your Mac or iOS device, and you get a message that the device was not found, or is no longer a part of your network. This problem began in August of 2016.

Access the AirPort's Settings
Since you cannot access the device directly from AirPort Utility, you will need to plug in the device's address on your Mac and connect to it that way. If you are not sure what your device's IP address is, and you are connected to the AirPort's wireless network, you can get this information from the Wi-Fi menu. To do this, hold down the option key on the keyboard. While doing so, click on the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar. If you are connected to your AirPort's network, look for the IP address line in gray text. NOTE: Find the line for "IP Address," not "Address."

After you have the IP address, open AirPort Utility. Press Command + Shift + O, or go to File > Configure Other. In the dialog that appears, enter the IP address in the "Address" field. The password will be the network password that you set to connect to the AirPort's network.

Remove Your Apple ID
This issue only occurs for users who are logged into the AirPort with their Apple ID. Unfortunately, it will need to be disabled until the issue can be permanently addressed. After you have connected to your AirPort, you should see a window like the one below. Go to the Base Station tab.
Lastly, select your Apple ID under the Back to My Mac section. Then, click the minus (-) symbol below the selection. After this, your AirPort should be regularly accessible. If you do not immediately see it in AirPort Utility's main menu, then try quitting AirPort Utility. Perform a soft reset on the AirPort by unplugging it for around 20 seconds, and then plugging it back in. After it reboots and the status light is a solid green, relaunch AirPort Utility on your Mac or iOS device.
